You can join them! | IntroductionIn 2005, a group of families in San Francisco were having dinner. During their discussion, they discovered that each of them were feeling the motivation to change their habits of consumption. Out of this came "The Compact", a set of guidelines and an agreement to consume less in the calendar year of 2006. In 2011, a group of people were reading a book together which told the story of The Compact. They were inspired to make the same pledge for 2012.
